Dress Code for Ala Carte Restaurants

Men...Long pants and a collared shirt.

Women...Sun Dress, Capris etc.

Closed toe shoes or dress type sandals.

NO SHORTS, T-SHIRTS, or FLOPS

What about young boys--age 11-15. Does the long pants rule apply to them as well?

The only dress code guidance I see on my Paraiso Beach and Paraiso Maya handouts is long pants for men for dinner at the a la cartes. Where did these other requirements (collared shirt, etc.) come from? Are they official Iberostar policy?

Flip flops have always been turned away. No t-shirts was highly dependant on the staff at the desk but I never saw any t-shirt wearing adults allowed entry. As for the younger boys dress type Bermuda shorts would probably be okay. As for teenagers they really should be in long pants. IB* considers all kids 13 and above adults except for the purpose of alcohol.

The del Mar/Beach is a bit more relaxed but the Lindo/Maya is more strict and the Maya was very strict while we we there.

It must really depend on who is at the front door. We saw a woman being seated at La Geisha this May, who was wearing flip-flops, Bermuda shorts, and a sleeveless T-type shirt (not a logo T-shirt, but the same kind of material and collar as a T-shirt).

My husband just reminded me that we saw a man at L'Etoile wearing torn (but long!) cargo pants and a logo T-shirt.
