weather in August

Hi.
 I'm a newbie! Before I ask my question, I'd just like to say that I think  this website is absolutlely fab! I've just discovered it whilst looking for info on Paraiso Lindo in Mexico. I've learn't so much about it  from this website alone! Thank you to all those who've given info  about this place.
Now, what I'd like to know is what's the weather like in August, in Mexico? I know it's the Hurricane season but how much rain is there in general? How hot does it get ?  Thanks in anticipation of a reply

We were there in August of 2003. It was definitely hot and humid! It wasn't any hotter than here at home in the U.S. Midwest, though, and it was nice by the ocean, with the strong sea breeze. That week was the only vacation of my life that I didn't get goosebumps when plunging into a pool or the ocean, or when getting out. The temperature and humidity dropped rapidly after sunset, making open-air dinners comfortable. So for us it was a perfect time to visit Mexico!

We did have a rainy afternoon or two. There was a tropical storm front between Mexico and Florida when we were there, and it resulted in a few hours of fairly heavy rain. Nothing that interfered with our vacation, which was mainly sunny. You do take your chances of a hurricane or other tropical storm, especially with this year's hurricane season (which seems to be getting off to an early and strong start). But the rates are good for just that reason! If you don't mind the possibility of entertaining yourself indoors during an occasional storm, it can be a good time to vacation. And it's very possible that you may have perfect weather all week.

Coral Reef -

We are from the Midwest too.   Today  was in the low to mid 90s here.  So next Monday, we'll be adding a beach & pool, pure paradise.
