We'll be staying at the Beach with another couple, first time to stay in this area and can't wait!!!  Looks soooooo beautiful!  If anyone else is going then, we'll be the forty-somethings having way too much fun at the swim up bars!

Hi cdn kubs!  Guess I should have checked back here sooner, sorry!

This is our 1st time to the IB & can't wait!  Also our 1st Iberostar...have friends that love the IB's, so we're checking it out.  We stayed at the Riu Cancun in Jan '05, but looking for the more "tropical" experience this time.  Hope to see you at the pool...how many are in your group?  So far there's just 2 couples...in our 40's...but we're always trying to recruit more to go with us!  See ya there!

I check it quite often I love these roll calls it's neat to see who's going to be there.

We are 38 (Carol) and 40 (John), so right in there with you.  This is our 15th anniversary trip and it's just us two.  But we're friendly sorts and we are always looking to make new friends!  We won't be hard to spot.  Two Canadians drinking XX and Pina Coladas all day.

By all who I have spoken to about the IB it is apparently excellent.  We stayed at the Paradise Villas (formerly Kin-Ha) in Cancun, but it was not AI, so this should be a treat.  We plan on taking the shuttle over to the IB Cozumel (free shuttle to PDC and then exchange privileges at IB Cozumel) just for an excursion on of the days. 

We'll talk to you before then, I'm sure.

We are Canadians that will be at the Lido Jan 16-23 we are also in our mid 40's. We were at the Maya last March and did lots of exploring so we know the resort very well. This is our 15th anniversary trip as well so we have ditched the kids lol.Hope to see you there. Hi IB Lover!  Congrats on the 15 years...our 15 years is next July but we can celebrate early!  Definately love to meet up you....hopefully the resorts will recover from Wilma by then.  It's so sad to see what she's done to the area.   But let's keep in touch before we go & try to meet up with the cnd kubs too!

Hey there Cdn Kubs & IB Lover

Glad to see a good representation of Cdn's will be there Jan 21 - Feb 3.  We are a couple of couples from Edmonton  and are counting the days until departure !!

We are two couples booked into the Beach, and are going with all expectations that the legendary Iberostar hospitality will more that make up for any inconveniences left by Wilma.

We have been twice to the IB Toucan both solo & with the kids and have our fingers, toes, etc crossed that the area has not changed too drastically.  We have heard that the park areas (Xcaret & Xel-ha) will both reopen early Nov.

Really doubt that the IB Cozumel will re-open anytime soon, so any exchange privileges will have to be limited to the Toucan/Quetzel in PlayaCar.

We will be getting married at th Del Mar on Monday 1/16/06 and can't wait.
I will be the bride dressd in white - Ha-Ha!

My future husband and I will be arriving on 1/8 and staying thru 1/21 - while our guests start arriving on 1/14 (approx 30 people).

We are at the Maya January 13-23, from Chicago. We have been to the Iberostar Tucan many times. We did this resort about ten years ago but then went back to Tucan because my husband wants to play golf every day. I was very excited to find the new Maya was not attached to a course. Is there any chance any of you are golfers? I do not have any desire to golf in 95% weather, the beach is where I want to be. It would make my husband really happy to know someone to golf with once or twice.

Hi Patty from Chicago!  The couple going with us are golfers, so maybe your hubby can hook up with them to play a round.  We'll be at the Beach Jan 14-21.  I haven't heard how the golf course fared with Wilma, have you?

SuzyB, it is great that your other friends golf, my husband would surely like to meet them. We also feel the more the merrier. And, yes, we certainly should meet at one of the bars. (or all of the bars!)
