HI, Ok so the hotel says they are going to be ready for guests. Hows the beach? Will there be snorkling or scuba? Are The waters clear? Are the beaches ready For guest on December 1st? Thanks Donna

Well there is not much snorkelling at the resort itself before the hurricane and doubt there is after it. The offsite snorkeling excurision will be fine by then though, the water will be clear again well before you arrive. The beach has sand and they are rebuilding the palapas as we speak, i will be at the resort next door on the 2nd of dec and have no worries, the only thing you will notice is the vegetation was stripped of many of its leaves close to the ocean. let me know if you have anymore questions.

we found pretty good snorkeling at the resort.. we went past the "lines" and dove down.. we saw rays and  large (4 feet tall) coral reefs. There were coral pathways through the reefs and i must say that it was incredible. It was only a few feet past the swimming lines and buoys that were set up.
a little tip.. there is some kind of sea parasite that was biting on sunny hot days.... it mainly resided in the dark areas of patches in the water. It didn't do any permanent damage but it hurt like a bee sting.

Interesting Judy i appreciate you telling me that i never tried snorkeling where you speak of. and i will watch out for the underwater bees

Does anyone have any information about the golf course? We have reservations on Jan 13 and my husband does not care if we have to sleep in a closet as long as the golf course is open!
