looking for info on HOW TO PLAN A WEDDING AT QUETZAL/TUCAN?

A little more information. The coordinators name is Mariela and she usually has an assistant, but I am not sure who that is at this time. She runs through public relations, and literally will do about all the planning you need...minus the few things that you must supply such as valid passports ect. If you are there for a week you will probabley meet with her the day after you arrive and your wedding would be at the middle or end of the week. You can have your wedding in the Jungle or on the Beach, and if it happens to rain they have it in an undercovered area beside the theater....don't worry the decorate it really nicely.

I don't know marielas email, but you can contact her at 984-877-2000 ask for public relations, and then you can speak to someone who speaks english well and they will help you get ahold of her.

My fiance and I are getting married at the Iberostar Tucan/Quetzal on July 13th.  Here is a list of things that may help you out.  Hope this helps!
1.  The wedding coordinator is Mariela. Her email address is weddings.playacar@iberostar.com.mx
She is great about responding to emails within a day or so.
2.  You need to be at the resort 3 full working days before your wedding.  Sat and Sun do not count, so be sure to take that into account when you are planning your flights.
3.  During those three full working days, Mariela will help you to get your blood work done at the resort, all the documentations ready, ordering the flowers of your choice, choosing your wedding cake, reception dinner restaurant, your wedding location, your photography package, and any other wedding details that need to be accomplished.
4.  There is only 1 wedding a day at the resort, so Mariela and her team is completely dedicated to your wedding that day.
5.  When you email Mariela, she will send you a list of tasks you need to accomplish (documents) before coming down to Mexico.
