Just back from our 2 week stay at ITQ - it was a great vacation!  This message board was very helpful prior to our departure.  It was our first visit to the Playa Del Carmen area, and 2nd stay at an Iberostar.  The jungle ( or lack of it ) was not a dissapointment for us, as we had never seen it pre-hurricane.  We stayed on the Quetzal side, facing the RIU next door, and it was great.  The monkeys put on a great show most afternoons in the trees right off of our balcony, which was fun.  The rooms, pool, beach and grounds were all that we had hoped they would be.  The food was fresh and plentiful, but honestly, it is an all-inclusive and not 5-star dining!  The al la carte restaurants were good, and a nice change of scenery from the buffets.  The staff were all very friendly and helpful.  We tipped for all services received, but we never had the impression that it was expected.  Our 17 year old daughter made some friends, and also received lots of attention from some of the Starfriends.  

All in all, we all had a wonderful time, and would not hesitate to return for another 2 weeks next winter!  Have fun!
