Lomas Travel

I booked my vacation to IB Paraiso Beach and my travel agent told me my tour operator is "Lomas Travel".

Anyone have any experiences with them?

I think that is Funjet's rep in Mexico.  We booked with Funjet on our last vacation to Mexico and did not have any problems except that we were disappointed in the hotel we chose (El Dorado Resort & Spa, now El Dorado Seaside Suites after remodeling).  Next year when we book our trip to Mexico we are staying at an Iberostar.

Yep, that was Funjet's rep when we were there. Look for their white pants and turquoise shirts at the airport. We thought they did a fine job with the airport transfers-- very organized and fast.

We also booked a snorkel tour through Lomas. You don't have to book excursions with your own tour operator; there are several tour companies in the hotel lobby to choose from, as well as companies in town and ones you can reserve online before your trip. But the Lomas guy was helpful and took time to explain the different trips and write everything down for us, so we did book with them and were very pleased.

We also made a lot of reservations through Loma Travel/Funjet, when we stayed in Cozumel.  They came right to our resort and all we had to do was tell him where we wanted to go and when.  We booked a Pirate Show, Chankanaab, and horse-back riding through them.  They helped a lot.

Lomas Travel (Fun Jet Rep) was very helpful last year when we stayed at Lindo.

Very informative!!  We wanted to rent a car and go to Cancun by ourselves and he went through the attractions not to miss!!
He made it very easy to rent a car and made our private trip very memorable!!  He evn showed us a spot on the beach in Cancun we could go for a beautiful pic of the Cancun coastline!

Last two years Lomas has been the one to handle our transfers to and from the resorts.  Both times they were extremely efficient at the airport and were right on time with the return transportation.

Great operation.  In my trips we have always used Lomas Travel since we always schedule with Adventure Tours or Funjet.  They are effecient, courteous, and very helpful.

I just returned from a excellent trip to Iberostar Beach--but I must voice this complaint about Lomas Travel.
The first problem came when I asked about parasailing at Iberostar Beach--our Lomas Travel agent stated that to parasail it would be 85 dollars and you would have to take off at the beach to parasail--both points were not true. I parasailed at Iberostar for 60 dollars and it was a boat take off not a beach take off. When my Lomas travel agent first told me about the 85 dollars for parasailing I said I would do it in Playa del Carmen and he told me they dont do parasailing in Playa del Carmen--which again was an untruth. I then wanted to swim with the dolphins--the Lomas Travel agent advised the Xcaret Dolphin swim--he said it was better then the one I wanted to go to which was the Dolphin Adventure. The agent said the Xcaret dolphin was a better swim then the Dolphin adventure which again turned out not to be true because I saw the one at Xcaret but I still took the other one at Dolphin adventure--which turned out to be much better. Check around the hotel at the different agencies to compare prices and what they say about the trip. I believe sometimes these agents are also working for or getting extra money from these destinations-to steer you in their direction.
