We are headed to the Pariso Beach at the end of July for a week.  I can't wait.  I'm a little worried about gettting mixed up about the places you can and can't eat/drink with all of the resorts there together.  Also, as it will just be me and my husband, relaxing on the beach, where is the best building to book?  Should we or can we ask for specifics (non-smoking/king bed, etc)?  Any other advice?  We did the AI thing last year at another resort (Adults only and much smaller).  This year we thought we'd try something on a more grand scale.  We visited Xel-Ha and had a wonderful time.  This year we plan to use the privledges at the Cozumel resort for a day, as well.  Any advise for that?  Thanks!

You can see the resort layout at:
http://ca.geocities.com/gmacpro7@rogers.com/mapframe.htm

Del Mar and Beach run parallel to each other, and you can use both facilities. They are tied together with walkways and by their shared pools in the middle, so it's not hard to find your way among them. Also, each of the 4 properties has a color scheme. Use the map for the first day or two, and you'll be oriented pretty quickly.

We prefer to be in the middle of the resort. Generally, the further you get from the lobby (i.e., the closer to the beach), the quieter it is at night. Some people prefer to be close to the lobby so they are near the restaurants and entertainment. Others want to be near the beach. Just personal preference.

I would definitely ask for the kind of room you want! You may or may not get it, depending on availability, but it doesn't hurt to ask. The king rooms have a palatial marble double shower, while the rooms with two queen beds have a shower/tub combo... if that makes a difference. The king bed leaves more space to move around the room.

Book your a la carte restaurants as soon as possible after arrival, especially if you want to eat at the Japanese. It's very popular and fills up fast. We were happy we brought our own inflatable pool floats, since the resort does not supply them. The dive shop will inflate them for you.

It's a beautiful resort. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for the info.  We are also planning a trip (with kids and in-laws) to Cozumel for a few days in June.  We will be staying at another resort, closer to town on that trip.  I can't wait!  Mexico is is calling me!

Hi. The middle of the resort is defiantly the best place especially if you are planning to go out at night(sometimes its a bit late to walk all the back). You can eat in all the a la carte restaurants in the beach and del mar resort then you can also eat at the Italian in the lindo resort as well. Have a great holiday. Gem xXx
