My husband, his sister and her husband and myself made our first trip to the Linda last week.  Here is our review:

Apple Vacations- wonderful- they were at the airport in Cleveland if we needed assiatance, at the Cancun airport and at the hotel.  It was wonderful having someone there to help you and direct you in a new place.

Grounds- What can i say??  The place was impeccable- cleanest I have ever seen.  There was always someone working wherever you looked- picking up trash, cleaning up,etc.  Landscaping amazingly beautiful!!

Room- Very spacious, clean-very cool- AC worked great -that was good because it is hot there!!  Frig was always stocked with beer, pop and water.  The one and only thing I would complain about (which really wasn't a big deal after a day in the sun and at the bar) was that beds take a little getting used to - they are kinda hard and the pillows are kinda flat!!  I am kind of a fussy sleeper though and it really wasn't a big issue.  Maybe next year I may take my own pillow (or buy a new one ) and just leave it there. Thought about putting it in one of those space saver bags that you suck the air out of so it would fit in my suitcase!!  BUt like I said overall I slept fine.

Bottled water-They always stock the frig full daily.  Your room is the only place you can get bottled water though so take some with you to the pool and beach if you plan to want some.  My husband asked the bartender for one the first day we were ther and he said they don't serve it there because so much of it went to waste.  We just packed some in our beach bag whene we left the room in the AM.

Pool- Incredible- swim up bar great.  It is huge- we took rafts and they blew them up for us in the towel huts when we got there.  Then when we left , we just left them there.  They were nice to have because it felt great to float around all day with a drink n hand!!

Beach- WOW!!  Not a very far walk from the resort as everyone makes it sound.  It takes like two minutes to walk there.  Boardwalk is hot- wear your flip flops.  Bar is great - snack bar has hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salsa and guacamole (the best we have ever had!!) Served all day- that is nice because you get kind of hungry between meals and that was nice to have munchies right there.  No towel hut at the beach so make sure you bring one from the pool.  We would go down early (try to get theer before 7 AM)and put towels on the chairs under a tiki hut so we had some shade.  We were in the sun ALOT but it felt good to sit in the shade and those chairs seemed to go fast.
Watch the rocks in the water- we all have battle wounds from them.  You can tell where they are- look for the dark patches in the water.  They hurt if you step on them and they are slippery!!  Once we learned where they were we avoided them and the water is so cool and refreshing- and the color of it is the prettiest blue you have ever seen!!

Food-Oh my gosh - incredible.  I was really worried about getting sick becaue I have a touchy stomach but I had no trouble whatsoever.  I drank fruity drinks all day and had no trouble with the ice.
Restaurants:
breakfast-we found the Italian to be the best-lots of choices.  Try the fresh squeezed OJ-wow!!
Lunch- we would usually ate at the buffet restaurant because we could go in with our cover-ups on from the beach or the pool.  It was very good-lots and lots of choices.
Dinner-
Cajun- wonderful-coconut shrimp very delicious - great steaks!!
El Museo- very fancy inside, formal, our table had 12 wine glasses on it and we counted - we went thru 68 peieces of silverware thru our meal.  We weren't exactly sure which one to use and when!!  The menu is limited but the food was incredible!!
Mexican- different from American "Mexican" but still very good.  Great pina coladas there- lots of choices and the appetizers they bring to your table are really good!!
Steakhouse-we liked this the best - the steaks are great - seasoned just right and very tender.
Italian- very good also- lots of choices, very goodlamb chops- never thought I would try those but I did and wow are they good!!

Overall, all of the food exceeded our expectations and if you had something you didn't like at a speciality restaurant, there was always the buffet!!

Tipping- Yes, it is "included" in your price but please plan to tip.  From the bartenders to the maids to the servers, everyone there works so hard and they really deserve a little extra.  We took one hundred one dollar bills and lots of fives to tip with.  They are thrilled when you leave a tip!!

Theater- That was lots of fun.  Every night they have a kids show at 8 PM and an adults/family show at 930PM .  They were excellent shows-very entertaining.

We never left the resort- it was truly a relaxing vacation- we went from the beach to the pool to the bar and so on.

We are already planning to go back next year with the kids and cannot wait!!  This place is truly paradise on earth and was the best vacation we have ever had!!

Hey Baby, Ohh Ahh I want to Knooooow...

Oops sorry, your review took me back.   I agree with everything  especially the fact that there is no reason to leave the resort.  That is what makes it a truly relaxing vacation for me.
